She is known to have been involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking, gun possession, and fraud in the past.
She grew up in Detroit's East Side, Michigan, and was the oldest of four siblings.
She got pregnant at the age of 15 with her first child, Rodney.
According to her webpage she started hanging out with the dancers at the local strip club and quickly realized her physical appearance was a great asset.
As the time passed "she began to be more enticed and drawn in by the quick money and fast life of the drug and gang-filled neighborhood in which she lived".
Eventually, her drug empire made her one of the wealthiest women in Detroit.

Big Fifty got her nickname from her husband Ricky.
After serving time in prison she was diagnosed with chronic illness sarcoidosis which causes her health problems to this day.
