What to Wear: DOs and DONTs
As with all pre-wedding parties, guests should avoid wearing white, cream, and variations of it in their outfit selection. The Bride gets to wear white, and although it’s not the wedding day yet, the color is still reserved for her on this special day: her bridal shower!
As a guest at a shower, you’ll want to dress up: wear a mini, midi, or maxi-length dress in seasonal fabrics and hues.
For fall wedding showers guests should wear cozy and comfortable dressy outfits including jumpsuits, sweater dresses, long sleeve dresses, or blouses paired with skirts or dress pants.
You can wear dresses of any style, as long as they are appropriate for the setting and formality of the event. Similarly, you’ll want to dress warm enough for the location and season. If it’s chilly, consider a long-sleeve dress or a sweater with long sleeves. A midi length works best at a shower, as it’s right in the middle: it’s not too short, but it’s also not too long.
And lastly, finish your outfit with a pair of fall boots. These are stylish options. You can carry a handbag of your choice and accessorize with jewelry that matches your style.
