There are delicious ways to incorporate cranberries into both sweet and savory dishes for the holidays.

Ingredients
❄️12-ounce package milk chocolate chips
❄️2 tablespoons shortening
❄️30 caramels
❄️2 teaspoons butter

❄️2 teaspoons water
❄️1 cup chopped peanuts
Directions
1. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil.
2. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and shortening. Pour half into the bottom of the foil-lined pan. Refrigerate while melting caramels.
3. Next, melt the caramels, butter and water. Add peanuts. Pour over cooled chocolate. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Top caramel mixture with the rest of the melted chocolate (you may need to reheat). Refrigerate 1 hour.
5.Remove from pan and carefully remove aluminum foil. Cut into squares.
Testers notes: I lined the baking pan with aluminum foil but I would suggest also spraying with cooking spray. I would also spread the chocolate up the side of the foil a bit as it was very hard to remove the foil from the sticky caramel. We love chocolate at our house so I added an extra⅓ cup chocolate chips.
